Trimble Hardware - Understanding Antennas

One of the most important and often overlooked aspects of your Trimble layout equipment is the instrument antenna. Whether you're using a Robotic total station, GNSS system, or a tablet, the antenna provides the necessary communication between the hardware. The image below shows many of the common antennas currently in use with Trimble Buildings layout equipment. Most antennas are unique to the device, however, devices that use the EM120 radio module, such as the Trimble T100 Tablet, or EDB10 External Radio can also use a Trimble RTS antenna.
