Trimble X7 - Firmware Installation & Compatibility

1. Firmware Compatibility

With the Trimble X7, it is important to ensure you are using the proper firmware for the version of FieldLink you are using on your tablet. The table below shows the firmware parings for optimal performance.  For help on upgrading your firmware or Fieldlink version, please open a ticket here.

2. Firmware installation

To install Firmware onto the X7 you will need Trimble Installation Manager installed. If you do not have Trimble installation manager please refer to Trimble Installation Manager - Setup Guide

1. Open Trimble Installation Manager
2. Click Optical  & Scanning
3. Click X7
   
4. Select which Firmware you would like to install from the drop down in the top right. 
5. Click Install

Note: The blue Download icon text to the firmware version will save the .exe file to be used offline if needed.
